Academic Foundation

My journey in technology began with a B.Sc. in Computer Applications, specialising in Software Engineering, followed by a Ph.D. in Information Retrieval with cross-overs into machine learning and NLP.

Bridging Academia and Industry

Following my Ph.D., I worked as a post-doctoral researcher in a number of research centres. There, I collaborated closely with industry, developing cutting-edge applications for a diverse range of companies, from innovative start-ups to tech giants like Samsung. This experience laid the foundation for my ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical, high-value solutions.

Corporate R&D: Scaling AI Solutions

Transitioning to industry, I took on significant R&D, machine learning, and Data Science roles in large multinational companies across various sectors including consumer electronics, telecommunications, and healthcare. I developed innovative AI solutions and led R&D teams, addressing unique challenges across different business contexts. These positions enhanced my understanding of AI applications in business and honed my ability to deliver impactful results consistently.

Leadership in Healthcare AI

Most recently, as Director of Data Science for UnitedHealth Group (a Fortune 5 company), I gained invaluable experience developing AI within healthcare and shaping machine learning strategies for a global organisation. This role further refined my expertise in translating advanced AI technologies into practical solutions that solve real-world problems.

Current Focus: AI Consulting

Now, as the founder of Clearlead AI Consulting, I help organisations navigate the complexities of AI, transforming advanced technology into practical business solutions. My varied experience across industries and company sizes has deepened my appreciation for AI's transformative potential and enhanced my ability to develop and apply technology effectively in diverse contexts.
